CEREC SYSTEM |
CEREC technology allows us to create Crowns, Onlays, and Inlays in a SINGLE VISIT!
The CEREC system has been in use for over two decades. Currently, more than two million CEREC dental restorations (i.e. Crowns, Onlays, and Inlays) have been completed worldwide and the number grows everyday. The beauty and strength of bonded porcelain/ceramic materials have long been recognized as a superior method for dental restorations. |

Our CEREC system provides patients with exceptional cosmetic results.
We use specialized computer technology (CAD-CAM)
called a CEREC Machine. It was first developed in
Switzerland in 1985, and today the technology is in its
third generation of development. It is a combination of
a computer, camera, and milling machine that can mill
a block of porcelain/ceramic into the required dental
restoration with a very precise fitting.

Studies show that a tooth restored by the CEREC system has 103% to 115% of the strength of a "virgin" tooth!
Using the CEREC milling system to create a dental restoration allows us to be extremely precise. Studies show that CEREC dental restorations strengthen teeth by saving more of the healthy part of the tooth and removing only the damaged portions.
Dr. Wolch has ten years of experience using CEREC technology.
Dental restorations are designed with a Computer Aided Design (CAD). This program will match the size and shape with the natural teeth, and work to provide an ideal bite. Once the design is completed, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) creates a precise restoration using two high-speed diamond burs that work simultaneously to mill the restoration out of a solid block of porcelain/ceramic.
The CEREC dental restoration is then bonded into place using state-of-the-art adhesive materials that actually strengthen the tooth. We can create any type of dental restoration using the CEREC system including crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays that can be matched to the exact colour of the other teeth.

In our practice we use CEREC technology combined with some of the finest biocompatible porcelain/ceramic materials made under exacting laboratory conditions.
Porcelain/Ceramic materials have proven to be stronger and more resistant to wear than other types of filling materials. When porcelain/ceramic materials are bonded into place, a tight seal against bacteria is formed.
